31 NEW MEMBERS

MEETING OF PILGRIMS' ASSOCIATION

Thirty-one applications for membership were received at the monthly meeting of the Canterbury Pilgrims and Early Settlers' Association held yesterday afternoon. The president, Mr E. R. Webb, presided. Three resignations were also received. The following gifts to the association were received:— "Canterbury Rhymes" (Miss Cook); photograph (Mrs Armstrong). , It was decided that copies of the annual report and balance-sheet should be printed and posted to members of the association before the .annual meeting which will be held in February. Reports showed that the arrangements for the next quarterly gathering to be held in the grounds of the residence of Mrs R. E. McDougall, in Papanui road on Saturday, December 14, were well advanced. Messrs G. W. Hungerford and E. H. Loveli-Smlth were appointed a committee to arrange the programme.
