• _ + SUGGESTED FAKES AND TIMETABLES CONSIDERATION BY TRANSPORT CO-ORDINATION BOARD (PRESS A.SSOCIATIOH TSUUHUUt.) WELLINGTON, December 1 The fares and time-tables for the two commercial air services which will be operating between the North Island and the South Island shortly will be considered at a meeting of the Transport Co-ordination Board in Wellington on Friday. The companies have already received operating licenses; but the operation schedules have to be approved before flying can begin. This question involves, in the case of these two companies, the principle of serving Wellington by co-ordination of the Palmerston North-Dunedin and Wel-lington-Nelson-Blenheim services at Blenheim. At a public sitting the companies will submit their proposals for opproval. Union Airways, Ltd., proposes the following time-table:— South Palmerston North—Depart 8.30 a.m. Blenheim —Arrive 9.27 a.m.; depart 9.37. Christchurch—Arrive 10.55; depart 11.5. Dunedin —Arrive 12.37 p.m.

North Dunedin—Depart 8.15 a.m. ChristcnUrch—Arrive 9.47; depart 9.57.

Blenheim—Arrive 11.15; v depart--11.25. Palmerston North—Arrive 12.22 p.m. The proposed fares are:— Palmerston North to Blenheim, £2 ss. Blenheim to Christchurch, £2 15s. Christchurch to Dunedin, £3 10s.

Cook Strait Airways propose the following time-table:— Nelson—Depart 7.30 a.m. Blenheim—Arrive 8.15 a.m.; depart 8.20 a.m. Wellington—Arrive 8.50 a.m.; depart 9 a.m. Blenheim —Arrive 9.30 a.m.; depart 11.30 a.m. Wellington—Arrive noon; depart 12.10 p.m. Nelson—Arrive 1.10 p.m.; depart 2 p.m. Wellington—Arrive 3 p.m.; depart 4.30 p.m. Blenheim—Arrive 5 p.m.; depart 5.10 p.m. Nelson—Arrive 5.55 p.m. The proposed fares, are:— Nelson to Wellington, £2 Wellington to Blenheim, £1 15s. Nelson to Blenheim, £1 10s. It is not yet known if there will be any opposition to these proposals.
