MASTER BUTCHERS
CONFERENCE CONCLUDED The inauguration of a mutual insurance scheme was discussed by delegates at the conference of the Dominion Master Butchers' Association, which was concluded yesterday. Several delegates contended that the rates at present charged under the employers' indemnity scheme, were too high. The question was left for the executive to consider. It was decided that the next conference should be held at Auckland in October of next year. A vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring officers and the honorary auditor, Mr T. Hyde. Special reference was also made to the work of the secretary and treasurer, Mr W. J. Mountjoy. A resolution was passed that greetings should be conveyed to the National Federation of Meat Traders' Associations of Great Britain. The following officers were elected for the year:—President, Mr W. Tunley (Wellington); vice-presidents, Messrs J. F. Carter .(Palmerston North); and G. F. Lane (Auckland); executive, Messrs J. Skelton (Christchurch), C. F. Thwaites (Palmerston North), G. E. Bennett (Wanganui), W. Vaughan (Wairarapa), P. Winders (Invercargill), E. D. Barber (Wellington), D. B. Haynes (Hastings), and James Henderson (Dunedin); secretary and treasurer, Mr W. J. Mountjoy (Wellington) ; honorary auditor, Mr T. Hyde (Christchurch). During the afternoon members took a motor trip over the Cashmere Hills, and were entertained at afternoon tea by Mr T. W. Stephenson. Somewhere there is someone who has something you need, or needs something you have. Reac' and use "The Press" Classified Want Advertisements —12 words Is, 3 insertions 2s 6d. ■«
