George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of river-conservation works generally and for river works, and shall vest in the Waimakariri River Trust as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth day of November, one thousand SCHEDULE. That an election to fill TWO ANNUAL VACANCIES on the Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural College will be held on Monday, December 2nd, 1935, and that the Poll will be closed at five o'clock on the afternoon of that day. 2. That one member is to be elected by such Agricultural and Pastoral Associations as are duly incorporated under the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies with the Canterbury Agricultural Collego Act. 1930, as have their principal offices in Mid-Canterbury, to wit, that portion of the said provincial district west of the main railway line, and north of the Rakaia River, together with that portion between the Rangitata River and the Rakaia River. 3. That one member is to be elected by such members of the Legislative Council as for the time being are resident within the Provincial District of Canterbury, and by such of the members of the House of Representatives as for the time being represent Electoral Districts within the Provincial District. 4. That the Electoral Roll may be inspected at the office of the Canterbury Agricultural College, and such roll will be closed for the purpose of the election at 5 p.m. on the 4th day of November, 1935. 5. That nominations close at noon on the seventh day before the day of the election, viz., Mondav, 25th November, 1P35. 0. That nomination papers may be obtained by application to the undersigned.
