0 TENNIS The Te Whaka Tennis Club will hold a women's doubles tournament to-mor« row for the Comer Button. Dredge Docked The Harbour Board's suction-dredge Canterbury was docked yesterday morning for her annual overhaul and survey. Reservists in Training Yesterday morning 19 ratings from the Canterbury Division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve commenced annual training aboard H.M.S. Dunedin. The reservists will remain aboard for two weeks and will go to Wellington in the warship. Kitchen Evening A kitchen evening, arranged by Mrs E. Hanna and Misses T. Lester and L. E. Mcllrcy, was held at Holy Trinity vicarage recently in honour of Miss Mary Neville. A large number of friends wc-je present to meet Miss Neville, who was the recipient of many useful gifts. The evening was spent in games, competitions, and community singing, and after supper the guest of hcnour was presented with a posy of flowers by the hostess, who, on behalf of those present, wished Miss Neville happiness in her married life.
