CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CENTRE ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting of the Christchurch Ladies* Bowling Centre was held recently in the committee rooms. The president, Mrs W. W. Bown tree, presided. The annual report of the centre, which was adopted, stated that a very successful season had been experienced, and the competitions and inter-club matches had been well supported. The financial statement showed the receipts for the year to be £l7 15s and the expenditure £l2 5s 9d. There was a credit balance of £l9 8s lOd. The thanks of the centre were expressed to Mr W. Efford as centre adviser, Mr Boon for the continued use of his office, Mr Brown for giving the Olympia rose bowl, the Canterbury and Linwood Clubs for the use of their bowling green, and to the press. The following officers were elected:— President, Mrs W. W. Rowntree; vice-presi-dent, Mrs Britten; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mrs C. E. Boon; elected delegate, Mrs D. Dickson; match committee, Mrs D. Dickson. INDOOR MATCHES In a match at Olympia Rink yesterday in the Carl Madsen Shield series, Returned Soldiers' Association was beaten by Imperial by 38 points to 37. Results, Imperial skips' names first: —Blackmore 14, Young 18; Hewson 24, Graham 19.
Papanui beat Rugby Referees' Association by 64 points to 61. Results were, Papanui skips' name* first:—Bond 17, Buchanan 24; Hadley 21, McLachlan 22; Morrison 26, Smale 15. In the 0. M. Brown Shield series, Aulsebrooks (Chapman s.) 23, beat T. and G. Mutual Life Assurance (Lewis s.) 19.
