SEVENTH ANNUAL REPORT
The seventh annual report of the Canterbury University College Rowing Club, to be submitted to the annual general meeting of the club, on September 19, states that the year under review had been a successful one for the club. The rowing club was now one of the livest of the college sports clubs. The membership showed an increase on that of last season and prospects for the coming season are bright
The committee has during the year assiduously applied itself to the task of raising funds for the purchase of an "eight." One hundred and fifty pounds has been collected and an order has been placed with G. Towns, Sydney, for a new Best and Best eight, tobe built similar to the latest association eight now in possession of the East Coast Rowing Association. With the ownership of the eight it will be necessary to levy a subscription on all members, to cover interest on a loan, insurance, sinking fund, and repairs In the report, the club congratulates one of its old members, Mr T. H. McCombs, on his recent election to Parliament.
