THE LAST EIGHT-OAR CHAMPIONSHIP WELLINGTON MANAGER'S REPORT CPZXSS AfiSOCIAWOa TBLEOaiM.) WELLINGTON, September 17. The Wellington Rowing Association has written to the Otago Rowing Association expressing displeasure at a personal : attack through the newspapers on the manager of the Wellington crew (Mr C. J. Mac Gibbon) because of his report on the interprovincial eight-oar championship. The association says that it had no hesitation in adopting Mr MacGlbbon's report It was backed up by members of the crew, including two of this year's champions, also by the evidence of their coach, Mr A. E. White. That the manager was right was proved by two photographs of the start handed to the New Zealand Rowing Association with the Wellington Association's report that two crews were swamped and that the crews finished with their boats half-full or more. It is also pointed out that the Wellington crew was one of the first to line up.
