CYCLING

MARSHLAND CLUB The annual meeting of the Marshland Cycling Club was held with the president, Mr W. J. Walter, presiding. The report showed the last season had been successful. Eleven races had been held and 26 different riders had secured places. The balance-sheet showed a small credit balance. The election o£ officers resultod:—Patron, Mr H. G. Watson; president, Mr W. J. Rogal, E. Quaid, H. Free E. Kiesanowski, S. Watson, G. Good, E. Treleaven, G. Watson, and L. Wilson; clubcaptain, Mr G. Boloski; deputy, Mr b. Whitmore; secretary and treasurer, Mr S. Erickson; assistant secretory, Mr L. Hibbard; committee, Messrs L. Palmer, I. Harris, H. Schimanski, I. Morton, S. Gorinski, h. Mooney, jun., B. Kiesanowski, K. Harris, G. Martin, J. O'Connor, F. Dick, P. Good, and W. Yeatman; handicapper, timekeeper, and starter, Mr W. J. Walter; delegates to centre, Messrs W. J. Walter and L. Palmer . \ It was decided to hold the first race on Monday evening, November 4, starting at the school and going to Ouruhia and back. During the evening prizes won daring the season were presented.
