The following resolution was passed at the annual general meeting of shareholders of the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Meat Company, Ltd.: "This meeting desires to place on record its deep sense of gratitude to Messra Forbes, Coates, and Duncan for their outstanding, successful, indefatigable work on behalf of the whole of the meat producers of New Zealand at the recent London meat conference. Their united services have been beyond Value, expressed in terms or in cash. We desire to pay them our earnest tribute of exceeding goodwill and grateful thanks."
