MR JAMES CRAIGIE
MEMORIAL SERVICE IN WELLINGTON (PBK33 ASSOCUTIOa TBLKOHAM.J WELLINGTON, September 16. Memorial reference to Mr James Craigie was made by the Rev. J. R. Blanchard at St. John's Presbyterian Church last evening, at a service attended by representatives of the Legislature, the Burns Club, and Scots resident in Wellington. "Of pioneer stock, Mr Craigie ever displayed those qualities of courage, Vision, tenacity, and progressiveness which characterise the" lives of pioneers in difficult places of the earth," said Mr Blanchard. "By native grit, integrity and perseverance, he overcame many difficulties and quickly won confidence in his business and public life. One after another 1 every position that people could give where high ability, administrative capacity, and integrity of character were required were freely bestowed upon him. A man of many qualifications and high ideals of service, a sincere love for humanity, a follower of the beautiful, the good and true, he left an example for future generations of New Zealand to follow and in following to lift their country high."
