A gramophone recital will be held at Canterbury College in the Students' Union on Sunday evening at 7.15. All who are interested are invited. The programme includes work by Beethoven, Handel, and Schumann and by modern composers, including Debussy, Poulenc, Humperdinck, and Richard Strauss. Two Hebridean songs are also included. In the first six months of 1935, 10,552 motor-cars valued at £1,600,000 were exported from Germany, compared with 6924 worth £1,150,000 for the same period in 1934.
