DINNER PARTY
To celebrate the opening of their new premises in High street, Misses B. Hanna, C. Gee, and Mary Todd held an enjoyable little dinner party at the Clarendon HoteL The toast list was as follows: —"The Hostesses." proposed by Mr A. L. Gray and responded to by Misses C. Gee, M. Todd, and B. Hanna; "The Owners and Trustees, with Mr A. C.Br etherton," by Mr R. de G. Robilliard and responded to by Mr Bretherton; The Architects," by Mr T. Easterbrook, re-, sponded to by Mr J, Collins and Mr E. West: "The Builders," by Mr H. Laban, responded to by Mr R. C. Jamieson; "The Ladies," by Mr A. L. Gray, responded to by Mrs H. Thomas; "Financial Advisers," by Mr R. C. Jamieson, responded to by Mr Gray and Mr Robiiiiard. , • . Those present were Mr and Mrs A. C. Bretherton. Mr and Mrs R. C. Jamieson, Mr and Mrs A, L. Gray, Mr and Mrs E. de G. Robilliard, Mr and Mrs H. Laban, Mr and Mrs T. Easterbrook. Mrs H. Thomas, Miss B. Hanna, Miss C. Gee, Miss M. Todd, Mr J. Collins, and Mr E. West Fewer women' are now seen In public-houses in Britain as compared with the pre-war days.
