Although Holland lost another £3,000,000, gold guilders have a firmer market and the Government is disposed to await developments. The Amsterdam correspondent of che "Daily Telegraph" says the Premier (Dr. H. Cohjn) had a long conference with the Queen who, it is understood, does not desire his resignation. A message from The Hague sayt. chat Dr. Coiijn handed the Cabinet's, resignation to the Queen, but hei Majesty, after considering the posi uon, requested the Cabinet to con tinue in office in the interests of the jountry. To this the Premiei agreed. The bank rate was raised to 6 per cent, to-night. The announcement of the Cabinet's decisions was deferred for fear of speculation. A later message says that the Queen has accepted the Government's resignat.on. She has invited Professor Aalbesse, leader of the Catholic party, to form a government.
