BLENHEIM NEWS

Mr and Mrs "Frank Reid, who will leave Blenheim this month to reside in Cliristchurch, were the guests of honour at a five o'clock party, which took place at "Eltham Lodge." Mr and Mrs Carol Nathan's home. The party was given by Mr and Mrs Nathan, Mr and Mrs Errol Eleid, and Mr and Mrs George Mitchell. Those present were Mr and Mrs A. Goyder, Mr and Mrs A. A. Macnab, Mr and Mrs L. Clouston, Dr. and Mrs P. Fogarty, Dr. and Mrs Bennett, Mr and Mrs H. E. Burden, Mrs Jamieson (Chriatchurch). Mr and Mrs R. Grigg, Misses M. Chapman, E. Lewis, Clare Ward, Irene Horton, and Linda Home. Messrs M. Hope, Churchward, M. Woods, Vavasour (3), F. Horton, F. Adams, Boag, Peter Johnston, B. K. White, and F. Morrison. Mrs Frank Reid was entertained by a nuxaber of her friends at an enjoyable dinner party, which was held at the Club Hotel, and Mr Reid was the guest of the members of the Blenheim Law Society at a dinner which took place at the Marlborough Hotel. Those present, at the party given for Mrs Held, were Mesdames C. Nathan, R. C. Jamieson (Christchurch),, Goyder, T. Watts,, P. Fogarty, A. A. Macnab, L. Clousion, Errol Reid, Power, R. Grigg. Mitchell, Misses Irene Horton, M. Chapman, Lewis and Linda Home, Messrs Vavasour (3), L. Clouston, E. Reid, G. Mitcnell, T. Watts, A. Goyder, P. Joanston, R. Grigg. M. Hope, Drs. Fogarty and Boag. Before his departure from Blenheim to join the All Black team, which will leave on Wednesday for England, Mr Jack Best was entertained at a farewell dance, given by the Marlborough Rugby Union and the Opawa Football Club. Some of those present included Mesdames Wilkinson, Taylor, j M. McKenzie, Satherley, Currey, J. Fawcett, C. Perrin, Tunecliffe, M. Jeffries (Seddon), and J. Walker, Misses Evatt, Amuri Neville, Gunn, Denton, (Nelson), Thomas (2), N. Taylor, Farr, Murray, Walker, Costello. Mrs E. F. J. Grigg (Meadowbank) and the Misses Nancy and Patty Grigg are visiting Canterbury, Miss Amuri Neville is visiting Mrs Stevenson (Upcot). I
