HARSH WORDS TO A MINISTER
BRUSH IN HOUSE OF COMMONS EXI'ORT OF AIRCRAFT DISCUSSED (Received July 24, 9.40 p.m.) LO.NDON. July 23. "No doubt some aeroplane engines exported for civil purposes may be put to military use, but the Government does not propose to stop the export of them," said Mr Walter Runciman (President of the Board of Trade) in the House of Commons. Mr F. S. Cocks (Lab.): Are you aware that enough ignition screens to supply 3000 German aeroplanes were sent from Britain by one firm alone during ihe last six months? Will you stop that? Mr Runciman: No. Mr Cocks: 'lf you are going on like that you are acting like a traitor Mr Speaker: That finishes the question. (Laughter.)
