Less favoured than the residents of other district? in the matter of snow within easy reach, a number of Auckland members of the Ruapehu Ski Club engaged in ski-ing on the slopes of Parnell Park recently, with the object of practising for the annual winter sports meeting to be held at National Park at the end of August. The gr&ss slopes were not in very good order for the purpose, and the skis did not run freely, but enthusiasts were able to practise turns to a limited extent.
