Port Fairy, Lyttelton, August 23, MGNOWAI RETURNS The Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Limited, advises that the cruise steamer Monowai arrived at Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island, at 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday. The fancy dress ball on board on Tuesday night was an unprecedented success. The Monowai arrived at Auckland at 7.30 a.m. yesterday. THE AHE I, TASMAN The Abel Tasman was to leave Eden on Tuesday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Greymouth. She is due at Wellington next Tuesday. NAPIER STAR AT LONDON The Napier Star, which sailed from Auckland on June 14 for the United Kingdom, arrived at London on Monday. PORT ADELAIDE DELAYED The Port Adelaide has been delayed by rain at Auckland, and will not now leave there until to-day for Napier, to continue Homeward loading. PAKEIfA'S SAILING The Pakcha left Bluff on Monday evening to complete loading at New Plymouth and Auckland. She is now to leave New Plymouth to-morrow, and will sail from Auckland for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, on Wednesday.
