TWO STOW A WAYS FINED AT GREYMOUTH
(■Runs Aasoe'uTiojr 'ma.B*KAM.i GREYMOUTH, July 23. When the steamer Gabriella left Greymouth for Melbourne early this morning she carried two men who were not on the articles. Their presence was soon discovered, and the vessel put back* to the" roadstead. A launch with police aboard went out to take the stowaways off. George James Shaw. 23 years of age, and Patrick Murphy, 24 years, pbaded guilty in the Mrg strate's Court this morning to a charge of stowing away on the Gabriella. and were fined £3 each, in default seven days' imprisonment.
