A WHEELBARROW SERVICE SUGGESTED

to the BDrroa or the russ.

Sir,—May I suggest that some of the unemployed run a wheelbarrow service from the Woolston tram to the Jubilee Memorial Home, say down Bamford street? I have to do this walk about once a week or so, and last time counted my steps, 1300 there and 1300 back. A* lam over 80 and cannot possibly afford a motor-car, I find It sometime? rather trying. I also meet other old people on the same quest, going to see their relations and friends m the home. As there are more than 100 there, I am sure the wheelbarrow could be made quite comfortable, and up-to-date.—Yours, etc., r , »«> ,«.. WHEELBARROW. July 23, 1935.
