DUEL MAY NOT TAKE PLACE
EOROTRA AND HIS CRITIC LONDON, June 27 H. C. Hopman states that it seems unlikely that the duel between Jean Borotra and Diblier Poulain, tennis critic, will be fought, because the French Davis Cup Committee did not ask Borotra to play in the singles, being anxious to develop young men for the future. J. Brugnon was dropped from the doubles team for the same reason. "I am of opinion," says Hopman. •'that pressure has been brought to bear which, after explanations, will lead to an amicable settlement."
