Strolling unperturbed down Fendalton road, with cars and trams passing consistency, a young Hereford heifer attracted notice from a number of passers-by. More than one car coming round the bend between the Lismore Lodge stop and the railway stop pulled up hastily as the headlights threw into relief the heifer standing unconcernedly between the rails. As a train came along the heifer moved quietly to the side of the road, but moved back to its position in the centre of the rails after it had passed.
