June 27., At the annual meeting of the Nelson College Old Boys' Association the retiring president, Mr W. Carrol Barley, said that the insurance endowment scheme had not so far taken' on &s well as was anticipated. The executive realised that at present men were reluctant to commit themselves ior the future, but with improvin,- conditions he hoped that many more Old Boys would jolnthe scheme. Searle, drawing attention to the fact that the Rugby and cricket honours board went back only as far as 1904, and asking if the association could assist in the completion of the boards.
