The making good of the damage caused by the hurricane six months ago has been very resolutely laced in Rarotonga, and things are now nractically back to normal, said Mr R. M. Watson, S.M.. of Feilding, who returned to WellingtQn by the Maui! ganui after a short visit to the island, H. P. Ayson, the resident commissioner, had evidently had a fairly strenuous time, he said. From the very happy natures of the natives, which had been very favourably commented on by American and other passengers, it was clear that the islanders were enjoying their conditions of life once more.
