NELLIE BRAMLEY COMPANY "THE CREAKING C|HAIR» TO START ON SATURDAY Another good house weeted Miss Bramley and the famous company at St. James' Theatre last isiight for the fourth performance of "Fair and "vVarmer." written by the well-known American author, Avcrjf Hopwood. Miss Nellie Bramley gives a clever impersonation of Blanny Wiheeler. With Owen Alnley, who takes the part of Billy Bnrtlett, she does some really line work, particularly in the scene where the pair set out tio "see life." As the discontented wife, Noel Boyd makes a good impression din the audience, and John Cameron is equally successful as the man Who continually puzzles his wife. "Fair and Warmer" will be presented again tonight and finally 10-morron.v night. On Saturday, commencing at the matinee, the fifth production of the season will be given, wtien Christchurch playgoers will see for the first time here the mystery ccumedy "The Creaking Chair." For mwny months the public has been given a series of mystery dramas that liajve proved popular. This is the thcuae of "The Creaking Chair," and there are sensations throughout the pla.y besides plenty of good comedy. It is the type of play that should command more than the average interest. Box plans are now open at the D.1.C., while dav sales are obtainable Knight's Milk Bar or St. James' Theatre.
