LABOUR LEADER'S TOUR
ADDHKSS TO ELECTORS AT TE AWAMUTU U'ItLSS ASSOCIATION ITXEOIiAM.) TE AWAMUTU, June 26. The leader of the Opposition (Mr M. J. Savage) addressed a large meeting last evening. In his speech he warned electors against the Government's auxiliary forces, which were sure to make another attempt to divide the people at the polls. Mr Savage said the official Labour parly was the only possible alternative to the Coalition Government, and he appealed to the people to make up their minds either for or against Labour. Wherever Labour , candidates were nominated, the issue should be clear. With 24 members in the House the Labour party had a glorious chance of being the next Government, and, if it were given a working majority, he had no fear of the consequences. No doubt a lot of money would be spent in attempts to stampede the electors, and to provide alleged alternatives, but the experience of the past had been that all these alternatives had found , it possible to combine against Labour on vital issues.
