OUTBREAK OF FIRE IN COTTAGE
A fire in the roof of an old two-storey cottage in Southwark street was extinguished by the Central Fire Brigade just before noon yesterday. Little damage was done to the which is owned by Mr T. Slceman. The fire is thought to have been caused by painters burning the surface of the roof before repainting.
