A report was received from the Auckland Boys' Employment Committee setting out arguments for the raising of the school-leaving age from 14 to 15. The report claimed that tne raising of the age was necessary on the ground that the labour market was already congested. The Auckland committee also contended that owing to the higher entrance age the schools could accommodate the pupils. It; was decided to thank the Auckland committee for the report.
