MORE POWERFUL TRANSMITTERS
—_ , ) NEW INSTALLATIONS AT DAVENTRY LONDON, May 10. The British Broadcasting Corporation will build at Daventry two new short-wave transmitters, using a power of 50 and 60 kilowatts, which is double the present transmitting strength. The new installation is expected effectively to reply to German broadcasts from Essen, \ hid are better received in some parts of the Empire than Daventry.
