Heaton Rhodes, M.L.C., fiom whom' an apology was received, Profeasor R. Speight presided. In moving the adoption of the annual report Professor Speight expressed gratification at being able! to oresent so favourable a report, Hit progress the club had made was 'nos pleasing to him. There were few clubs, he said, which boasted a waitinc list for membership, and he took this fact as being encouragingly sigmreport, \.hich was atloptcd, stated that members of the club had taken in all the railway mysterytnps held during the season " to these 14 very successful club trip., and two week-end trips on Banks Peninsula had been held. he eluois active membership had increased from 30 to 50. Opportunity had been taken to present Miss rfore with an autographed photograph ol the club members, as a mark oi esteem. , - ■ .i A walk meter, purchased during the year, had up to the present time recorded 300 miles walked by members on various tramps. _ The balance-sheet showed a oalance in hand of £7 Is. Thanks were expressed to bir n. Heaton Rhodes and to Mr Orton Bradley for the use of their grounds, io landowners who had left their properties open to tramping parties thanks were also expressed. A motion was passed at the meeting recommending the incoming committee to purchase suitable maps and compasses and a first-aid outfit. Election of Ofiicers i The election of officers resulted-—] Patron Sir R. Heaton Rhodes; president Mr S. C. Anderson; vice-presi-dents. Professor R. Speight (senior vice-president). Messrs R. Orton Bxadley W. A. Croft, and W. S. Bussell; secretary, Miss N. Gibbs; treasurer, Mr R D Carew; committee, Miss A. V Sapsford, Messrs A. Vivian, G. Buick, and F. Rusbridge; auditor, Mr W Fisher (subject to consent); trustee. Mr. S. C. Anderson; press correspondent, Mr 1,. Dwan. Presentation to Mr S. C. Anderson Tribute was paid to the work done by Mr S. C. Anderson, the club leader, who had organised the club tramps. Mr R. D. Carew, on behalf of thej club, presented Mr Anderson with a | Kodak camera. The meeting was followed by suppei and musical items.
