The ofl'tcia! sports gathering at Oamaru was a Rugby seven-a-side tournament at the show grounds, in whic'i GOO players took part. There was a grand parade of footballers, with banners, and Mr F. E. Cooney, Mayor, briefly addressed the large gathering on the significance of sports in celebrating the jubilee. The winners were: Seniors, Old Boys (Oamaru); juniors, Southern B; third grade, Old Boys (Wairnate); fourth grade, Athletic A; fifth grade, Wailaki B; junior, Waitaki High School D; town primary, North School; country primary, St. Patrick's; primary bantams, North School. The hockey tournament was won by Oamaru, with Albany A runner-up. Oamaru beat Timaru at golf, and the rinks bowling tournament was won by Forrester, Watts, Pollock, and J. Marshall (Phoenix).
