Pumice stone is to be found in large quantities on CastlecliiT beach, at Wanganui throughout the year, and residents of the city receive requests from many districts of the North Island and, on occasion, parts of the South Island, for supplies of this stone. Some residents in the district make a few shillings each week selling pumice. Last week a business man received a letter from an Auckland resident asking him to forward a supply of the stone.
