The sale by hawkers of patent medicines and household drugs was discussed at the last meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council. A letter setting out the views of chemists on this practice was received from the Chemists' Defence Association, Wellington, which also forwarded a resolution of protest carried at a conference of pharmaceutical chemists in Dunedin. It was decided to recommend the executive of the Municipal Association to iake up the matter, and to advise the Chemists' Association that the Hamilton Borough Council, in company with other local bodies, had been endeavouring to have the act amended to deal with the question.
