A message frc.i Toledo, Ohio, says that more tlwi 2000 employees in the Chevrolet Motor Company plant walked out on strike to-day, after tie collapse of negotiations with' executives of the General Motors Company. The interest of (he enthv car industry is focused on the strike. which is the first major hold-up of its kind in the present era of labour conflict, and is viewed as a possible test of strength between the unions and employers. While and cond.il ions are in dispute, the real bone of contention is the demand of the union for 0 i per cent, representation among Chevrolet employees.
