Cock president of the Nelson Golf Cl'uKmS T. Park (Westport) in the final of t2* provincial golf championships, and defeated him 2 and 1, after a very class contest. The weather was very hag i : and it was found necessary to cut new holes on many greens, in order M ' avoid water lying on the greens. Stroke Handicap—Watt (Titabfi Watt also won it last year. Runner-up—Allport (Marlborough) Best gross score—Huggins (NetaonJ Provincial championship—Coek (Nelson). Runner-up—Park (Westport). Camping Tour Messrs L. I. Carlyle (Auckland) L. H. Longmore, J. W. Ruston, and G. V Anderson (Christchurch) are on* ■ motor camping tour of the Nelson di»trict. Easter Marriages Within a period of less than a week no fewer than 15 marriages have takes place in Nelson, Easter this year rawing a more popular time than usual for such events. One minister alona officiated at eight ceremonies during the holidays. •
