WAIREWA COUNTY AFFAIRS
TO TKI EDITOB O* TJHB.KMS*. Sir,—Many thanks to Mr Aitken fcar the offer of the use of his hall to hold a meeting of ratepayers, but if I called a public meeting it would be held in the public hall and would certainly not be a semi-private affair held in a private hall, and also if any special advice was sent out to any ratepayers the first to get it would be the county chairman. The fact of the county owing £12,000 or so was no eye-opetief to the ratepayers, as we were nearly all aware of that fact, and were also aware -of tEe assets the county owns. Mr Aitken again showed his sense of fair play by omitting to mention these items. —Yours, etc., A RATEPAYER. Little River, April 23, 1935.
