TE AROHA BAND CONTEST
PERFORMANCES JUDGED BY MR R. J. ESTALL (raj!S3 /LSSOCIATIO* TELEGRAII.) TE AROHA, April 23. A three days' band contest held at Te Aroha was highly successful, nine bands competing. Mr R. J. Estal!, conductor of the Woolston Band, was the judge. Results: — C Grade Test Selection, "Souvenir of Shakespeare"—Whakatane Citizens' 1, Cambridge Municipal 2, Pukekohe Municipal and Te Awamutu (equal) 3. B Grade, "The Mock Doctor"—Tauranga Municipal 1, Rotorua Municipal 2, Waikato Regimental 3, Te Aroha Municipal and Waihi Federal (equal) 4. C Grade Hymn Test—Te Awamutu 1, Whakatane 2, Cambridge and Pukekohe (equal) 3. B Grade —Waikato Regimental 1, Tauranga 2, Rotorua 3. Quickstep, C Grade March, "On Parade" —Te Awamutu 1, Pukekohe and Cambridge (equal) 2, Whakatane 4. B Grade March, "Unity"—Rotorua 1, Waihi 2, Te Aroha 3.
