THE STUDY OF DRAMA
ARRANGEMENTS FOR SCHOOL AT EASTER A school of drama, conducted by the Canterbury area of the British Drama League, will be held at the Little Theatre, Canterbury College, from April 18 to April 23 inclusive. The principal teachers and instructors will be Professor James Shelley, Mrs A. M. Spence-Clark. and Messrs Bernard Beeby and G. A. Worthington. The syllabus provides for a full five days' course. Classes will be held in make-up, scenery construction, stage setting and lighting, choral versespeaking, and general stagecraft. Several plays will be presented by members of the Canterbury College Drama Society in the evenings, and the presentation of these plays will be criticised and discussed by the students at the school. From the present enrolments it appears that the school will be very well attended. The majority of those who have signified their intention of attending are from the Canterbury area, although one or two students from the North Island will be present.
