N.S.W. CITRUS GROWERS TO BE HELPED
♦ PREMIER'S PROMISE (Received April 1, 7.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 1. Mr B. S. B. Stevens (Premier), at a conference of Central Coast citrus fruit growers, promised to give growers assistance to draw up a scheme for producer control. The president of the conference (Mr A. S. Brown) said the New Zealand embargo on citrus fruits and the action of past Governments in fostering the Murrumbidgee irrigation area had contributed greatly to the depressed condition of the industry on the Central Coast.
