Through his clothes catching alight while he was working with, sodium chlorate, a young man was admitted recently to hospital at Te Kuiti suffering from extensive burns. His condition is not serious. A sack which had been impregnated with the spray caught fire, and in his efforts to extinguish it, this man's clothing was also set on fire. His legs from the feet to the knees were badly burned, and his hands were scorched in his attempt to beat out the flames.
