Detectives to-day arrested Edward Mountford Tunnielifle, who was charged that on February 19, at Napier, with intent to defraud, he obtained from the National Bank of New Zealand at Napier £IOOO in money by falsely representing that a cheque for £IOOO drawn on the National Bank in favour of 303, purporting to be signed by Henry D. Hardy, was a valid order for that amount. Accused will be remanded to appear at Napier.
