OBITUARY

MR C. CHAMLEY (BPBCIAI. TO TUB PEBSS.) GREYMOUTH, March 29. The death occurred at the Grey Hospital on Wednesday night of Mr Charles Chamley, of Runanga, a native of Launceston, Tasmania, aged 49 years. Mr Chamley, who came to New Zealand at an early age, was a gold miner by occupation and contracted miner's phthisis. He worked for a number of years in the Energetic quartz mine, near Reefton, and was later a member of the co-operative party who constructed the Orongorongo tunnel (Wellington). He was formerly proprietor of the Cobden Hotel, is survived by his wife, one son, and three daughters.
