Due Auckland March 22, Sydney March 23, Melbourne March 29. Aorangi left Vancouver February 27 for Sydney. Due Auckland March 17, leaves March 18; due Sydney March 23. Niagara left Sydney February 28 for Vancouver. Due Vancouver March 22. Maunganui left Sydney March : 14 for San Francisco. Due Welling- : ton March 18; leaves March 19; due San Francisco April 5. WANGANELLA'S TRANSHIPMENTS Transhipments ex the Strathaird, Kyokkoh Maru. and Changte were brought to Wellington by the Wanganclla on Wednesday from Sydney. SOMERSET FOR OAMARU En route from Falmouth in ballast the Somerset has reported by wireless that she will arrive at Oama»u at noon to-morrow to commence Homeward loading. CANADIAN CHALLENGER FOR TIMARU The Canadian Challenger is now to load for North American ports at Timaru instead of Auckland. She is due at Timaru on April 5 from Australia, and will sail the following day for New York, Boston, and Montreal. THE MAHENO The Maheno left Melbourne yesterday for New Zealand. She will be calling at Lyttelton and Wellington in addition to her previously-scheduled ports, Bluff and Dunedin. After discharge at Wellington she' will withdraw from service. j PORT GISBORNE LEAVES NEW YORK The motor-ship Port Gisborne is reported to have cleared New York last Friday. She left Auckland on February 6 for New York, London, Liverpool, and Glasgow. The vessel took more than 30,000 cases of butter from New Zealand for New York. ALL WELL ON TAINUI The Tainui, which left Wellington on March 6 for Britain, has reported line weather since clearing port; all on board are well. PORT WHANGAREI FROM TONGA The motor-ship Port Whangarei was due at Auckland on Wednesday after the first of her four-weekly trips to Tonga. She will return to the coastal service to-day, when she will sail for Wellington and South Island ports, and she is scheduled to leave Auckland again for Nukualofa on March 29. FORDSDALE LOADING Now completing discharge of her i London cargo, and loading Homeward at Napier, the Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Fordsdale is to leave there today for Gisborne, Nelson, Lyttelton, and Wellington to till up. She is due here on March 27, and is to clear Wellington finally on April 4 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, via Panama. PERSONAL One of the most popular master mariners in the Australian trade. Captain W. P. Townshend, commander of the P. and O. Royal mail liner Strathaird, which is due at Wellington next Monday, is making his last trip before retiring from the company's service. When the Strathaird returns to England Captain Townshend will make two cruising voyages in the Mediterranean, and will then retire. He has served at sea for 45 years, having begun hjs career at the age of 15 years ,as a cadet in the barque Sir Henry Lawrence. THE TURAKINA The Turakina. with cargo from Liverpool for discharge, arrived at Wellington late yesterday afternoon from Auckland. It is doubtful if she will arrive at Lyttelton before Tuesday.
