NEW BRIGHTON CI,IH The twentieth annual minting nf I In- .\'c»v J-'irigliton Men's Miniature Uiflc Club was held in the range last evening, and in the absence of the president, Mr 0. \V. Liishop, Captain A. I'. Hopkins louk the cluiir. A motion oC sympathy uas passed villi the relatives of the late'Mr A. .1. Heavan. The annual report ami balance sheet, which wore adopted, states that the l!»;;i season ns a successful one. A team had been entered in t!ie senior trade of. the Chvistchurch Miniature Kitle Association's winter competition, six matches hud been won and I'J lost. The average, shoot by the team of 547 was six points below Hie average of tlie team. .In these matches Mr A. H. put up a club record with an average of ti11.2. Teams were also entered in the Winch.-s----ter Gup, New Zealand championships, and Canterbury championships, without success as a team, but individual events secured substantial prizes for members. Although a new rifle was pnrchase-I during the year at a cost of £lO, there were no debts nor liabilities. There is a credit cash balance of .£1 18s 4d.
