Mrs Baker (Auckland) beat Captain Hartnell (the present holder of the Dominion title), 26-18 and 2G-G. Mrs Thomson, the Auckland champion, was defeated by Mrs Caldow and Mrs E. Basset in the women's championship singles. The final of the level singles I'oi the Whittaker Cup between Mrs Morgan (Manawatn) and Mr.s J.
