NORTH CANTERBURY RABBITS
TO TUK EDITOR Of THE PRESS. Sir.--1 wish to draw your attention to the paragraph in the general news items of last Monday's "Press," under the above heading. Your contributor, writing as a "city man," admits his inexperience with rabbits, yet makes a comprehensive and statement which creates an inaccurate idea of the seriousness of the rabbit pest on this particular country. He makes a point of the quietness of the rabbits—an essential condition before a successful poison.
I desire lo state that the iiumbnr of rabbits on litis country cannot bo considered to be serious for (his limp of the year, and that they arc quite under control. I might add that this is the opinion of several cither competent .judges.
