VIOLENT ELECTRIC STORM

A violent electric storm at Lismore damaged the electric power switchboards and also temporarily set fire to the telephone exchange at Clunes, when the switchboard apparatus was ignited. MAN KILLED BY LIGHTNING (Received February 20, 9.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 20. Thomas Gunn, aged 53, who was working on a farm near Kempsey, was struck dead by lightning.
