GREENOCK REFUSES TO PARTICIPATE
ATTITUDE TOWARD KING'S JUBILEE LONDON, February 19. The Greenock Corporation decided by 12 votes to 10 neither to attend the church service nor to participate in the King's silver jubilee celebrations, the opponents of participation citing meetings of the unemployed, whose conditions, they said, the Government could improve.
N.S.W. PREMIER UNABLE TO LEAVE (Received February 20, 10.20 p.m.) SYDNEY* February 20. The Minister for Labour p.nd Industry, Mr Dunningham, will represent the New South Wales Government and Parliament at the jubilee celebrations in London. Mr Stevenc, the Premier, is unable to leave the state in view of the approaching elections.
