* April 15 Probable Date ! " INTERIM FIGURES ISSUED BY TREASURY j (ERITI3B OFFICIAL wIB.EI.EdS.I (Received February 20, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, February 19. The date for the introduction of Ihe budget has not yet been fixed by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, but it is likely to be April 15. It is understood that it is intended to make the budget statement and to pass the budget resolutions through committee before the Easter adjournment on April 18. The latest Treasury returns show that the ordinary revenue for the financial year, to February 16, amounted to £593,878,820, as compared with £609.701,084 fcr the corresponding period last year. Including self-balancing revenue the figures are £670,468,820 and £683,098,084 respectively. Income tax collected last week amounted to about £14,000,000, bringing the total to date up to £ 175 669.000, as aga : nst £ 173,594,000 at the corresponding date last year. The total ordinary expenditure up to last Saturday was as compared with £608,392,793 by February 17. 1934. With self-balanc-ing expenditure, the total for the current year is £705,248,427, as against £690,472,745 for last year.
