About 100 members attended, all of whom were able lo have an uninterrupted chat with the wife of New Zealand's Governor-General designate. Lady Galwav is extremely pleasant and natural in her manner, and says how much she is looking forward to her sojourn in the Dominion. Many of her friends who have travelled extensively assure her that New Zealand is one of Ihe most beautiful countries they have visited and that the hospitality of the peo'B2 has to be experienced lo be understood and appreciated.
At the moment naturally, shopping is taking up a considerable portion of Lady Galway's brief stay in London, for she is not much here, her home being in Yorkshire. The rooms were decorated with masses of white lilac Harrissi lilies, and pink tiger lilies. The time^ —4 p.m. to 6 p.m. —passed very pleasantly.
